Disney Cruise Line Dining

Breakfast & Lunch Dining

Guests can choose from buffets served at the Beach Blanket Buffet on the Disney Wonder and at Topsider Buffet on the Disney Magic or a sit-down meal for breakfast and lunch. There is open seating for these meals, meaning you can eat in any restaurant and at any table you choose. 24-hour room service is also available.

Guests aboard the Disney Magic will have a Character Breakfast. You receive a ticket with the day/time during your dinner.

Animator's Palate

This innovative restaurant transforms itself from black and white to full color as your meal progresses. Scenes from classic Disney films adorn the walls, and as each course is served colors are added to the scenes. Be prepared for a fun and festive surprise end to your meal. (NOTE: When dining at this restaurant for the second time during your rotation, the "show" will not take place.)

Goofy's Galley

Bakery cases display the daily offerings, which inclde salads, fresh fruit, deli sandwiches, panini, pasta wraps, ice cream, and cookies. You may even be able to order a special-request sandwich (inquire with the crew members). The ice cream is available in two self--serve machines at the end with vanilla, chocolate, and vanilla/chocolate swirls - you may either want to point out the machines to your kids or intentionally overlook them. Sprinkes, cherries, chocolate topping, and other toppings may also be available. In the morning (7:00 am to 9:30 or 10:00 am), you'll find a selection of pastries (such as croissants, stollen bread, and danish), cereal, fruit yoguert, and milk. Open daily from 10:30 am to 6:00 or 7:00 pm (ice cream may be available until 11:00 pm)

Parrot Cay

With island-themed décor, this brightly-colored restaurant gives diners a taste of the Caribbean. Lush palms, tropical birds and beautiful murals give diners the feel of eating in their own bit of island paradise.

Topsider's / Beach Blanket Buffet

This casual buffet restaurant (deck 9 aft) is a pleasing alternative to the formal dining rooms. Choices are plentiful and varied, with daiy themes such as seafood, Italian, Mexican, and Asian. The welcome aboard buffet (first afternoon) offers peel-and-eat shrimp, a popular offering with cruisers. Salad ad dessert buffets are expansive, and kid-friendly food is always offered. Breakfast offerings are excellent, with hot and cold selections, omelet bar, and a cereal bar - note that breakfast (7:30 am to 10:30 am) and lunch (noon to 2:00 pm). Occasionally early-morning pastries, dinner (6:30 pm to 8:30 pm), and a late-night buffet are offered. Drinks include soda, water, fruit punch, iced tea, coffee, milk and juice.

Decor - Topsider's (Magic) is nautically themed, with bright, nautical flags, teakwood tables, and glass etchings of maritime scenes. Beach Blanket Buffet (Wonder) has a surf's-up feel, with colorful surfboards, beach towels, and beach balls decorating the floors, walls, and ceilings. Both offer indoor and outdoor seating (with and without shade).

Dress - Casual resort wer. You can wear shorts and tank tops for any meal, and dressier clothes are welcome too. For the sake of other guests, however, do cover up that swimsuit.

Dinner - Dinner works differently than breakfast and lunch - you go to the buffet for your salads and some desserts, but your drinks and other courses are brought to your table by servers. In fact, your main course entrees will probably be the same as those offered in one of the regular restaurnats that evening. Note that dinner here may only be offered on select nights of your cruise.

Our Review - An excellent place for a fast yet satisfying breakfast. We generally prefer the other restaurants for lunch (better food, better service, and alcohol can be purchased), but when we've stopped by for a casual dinner, we've always been pleased. It's a great place to feed kids before they go to Flounder's or Oceaneer's. As to whether it's best to eat lunch here or at Parrot Cay for its service and slightly less crowded atmosphere. Our rating: 6/10.

Tritons

The Disney Wonder's equivalent of Lumiere's and themed after Disney's Little Mermaid. The decor is upscale.

Room Service

As part of your cruise package, all meals on board are included in your package price.  This includes 24-hour room service.  Unlike your main meals, however, soda is extra.  **PLEASE NOTE that while food is free, gratuities are allowed.  The room service waiters are not part of your regular wait staff and will not be included in your "end of cruise" tipping.  Keeping a couple single dollar bills in a desk drawer allows you to tip the room service waiter at the time of service.
